Ramsey, Ball and Morrell all recorded career highs for goals in a game during their collegiate careers. Sophomore defender Catherine Reddick added a goal by scoring directly on a corner kick and sophomore striker Jane Smith added the ninth goal, the first of her career.
The Tar Heels improved to 4-0 on the season with the win while Georgia lost its second straight and is 2-2-1 on the campaign.
Carolina struck early and often as the Tar Heels raced to a 3-0 lead just 10:13 into the contest.

At 31:12, Ball scored the first of her two goals off an assist by freshman midfielder Anne Felts. It was Felts' first career point. Ball then gave Carolina a 6-0 lead at the half as she scored 10 seconds before the break on a direct free kick from 28 yards out, going upper right shelf.
The Tar Heels tacked on three more goals in the second half. Morrell struck again at 50:58, assisted by senior midfielder Anne Remy and Ramsey, who had a career high eight points on the night. At 56,45, Ramsey completed her hat trick, tallying her fifth goal of the season off assists by Bush and Morrell.
Smith finished off the Tar Heel scoring at 75:45 with a blast from the right side after taking a cross from freshman midfielder Sara Randolph. That was Randolph's first point in a UNC uniform The shutout was Carolina's fourth in four games this season. Three Tar Heel goalkeepers shared the shutout.
