UNC Coach Matt Doherty:
"I tell you what, we guarded and that was fun. We got into them, and I don't believe that they had many open looks. It was great energy generated by our team, and the fans were great too. It was fun. It was fun to go out there and just get into someone and just guard them.
"They've got a good team. Coach Clark does a good job. They scared me to death. We come off two loses and I'm thinking, boy, you've got a Miami team, they've been good on the road, I believe 15-2 over the last two years on the road. This team is a tough team. I know. I lost three times to them last year at Notre Dame. But we just really guarded. I'm proud of our guys. It was a total team effort.
"Brendan's triple double was awesome. I was real, real pleased. It's hard to point out just a couple of guys. But Joe Forte only has eight points, but he had seven assists and only three turnovers against a crazy defense like that. And I mean that in a good way, where they try to generate a lot of turnovers. And (Joe) had six rebounds and three steals. That's a complete game. You play defense like that and guard and rebound, and when the shot comes around, watch out. I'm really proud of Joe for playing the way he did. But it was a total team effort.
"(Jason Capel) seems to be all right. It's a deep bruise, and I think a couple of days off will be good for him. I have nothing but good things to say about my group, obviously."
