2018-19: Opened her collegiate career at the Dick Taylor Carolina Cup in Eddie Smith Field House • Clocked personal-best times in both the 800m (2:17.42) and the mile (5:14.02) at the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational • In outdoors, competed in three regular season meets — Raleigh Relays, Battle of the Blues and Duke Invitational • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2018 XC: Finished 124th in the women’s 6K (23:35.5) at the ACC Championships.

Personal: Olivia Marilyn Bene is the daughter of Lisa and George Bene • Born August 3 • Began competing for a year-round USA Swimming Club at age 6 • Her father is a 10-time Boston Marathon qualifier and a 2-time Ironman World Championship qualifier • Her mother also has a couple half marathons under her belt and ran the Chicago Marathon in 2010 • Her parents competitively raced cars in the 1990s • Her older brother Jacques is attending Guilford Technical Community College to earn his Journeyman's Certificate and Associate’s Degree for Metal Manufacturing and currently works for a machining company called MSI • Her younger sister Sophie is an avid rower for a crew team in Greensboro.
