Women's Cross Country Debuts At No. 13 In USTFCCCA Preseason Poll

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina women's cross country team has been tabbed 13th in the nation in the USTFCCCA Preseason Coaches' poll as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
The Tar Heels are one of five teams from the ACC in the top 25, trailing only NC State (1), Notre Dame (6) and Stanford (9) while slotting in ahead of Virginia (15).
At the helm of the women's program is first-year head coach Ann Dunn who leads her squad to being named the No. 3 team in the Southeast Region in the coaches' poll.
Carolina women's cross country will look to begin their fall slate late next week, traveling to Charlottesville, Va. for the Virginia Invitational. The women's 5k race is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST. Meet information can be found here.
