Merritt’s Grill Joins Finley Golf Club As Official Food & Beverage Partner

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Merritt's Grill, a Chapel Hill staple known for juicy BLTs and other delicious menu items, has partnered with Finley Golf Club at the University of North Carolina to provide its first-class food and beverage services throughout the course and enhance the overall experience for guests.
"We are proud to expand the existing relationship with UNC Athletics and Merritt's Grill to include Finley Golf Club," deputy athletic director and chief revenue officer Rick Barakat said. "As we move through our long-term vision and strategic plan for the future of Finley, there is no better partner to accelerate the quality, service and performance of our food and beverage operations than Merritt's Grill. Their staff is incredible to work with and we are excited to bring a taste of Chapel Hill inside the clubhouse at Finley."
Merritt's new second location – which joins the flagship property at 1009 S. Columbia Street in Chapel Hill – provides increased catering services and offerings, expanded staffing and menu items and another meaningful touchpoint within the Chapel Hill community. Guests will enjoy an upgraded grill area, beautiful indoor and outdoor dining spaces and convenient to-go options, bringing the familiar Merritt's experience to a new setting at Finley.
"The opening of Merritt's Grill at Finley represents another milestone in the transformation of Finley Golf Club — the home of Carolina golf," general manager of Finley Golf Club Rob Jeske said. "Merritt's iconic reputation, product and service will enhance the Finley experience for golfers, events and visitors from across our state."
Merritt's Grill has been a beloved part of the Chapel Hill community since 1992. Home of the famous BLT, Merritt's brings its iconic menu, outstanding food quality, friendly staff and undeniable local charm to Finley Golf Club. UNC Athletics is thrilled to welcome Merritt's inside the Finley clubhouse, offering a sit-down dining experience for guests and golfers, as well as operating the on-course beverage cart, halfway house and catering for large events and outings. Along with the new location at Finley, "Merritt's in the Pines" will return inside Gate 2 of Kenan Stadium this football season. Merritt's will also continue to provide catering services through RevelXP for UNC's turnkey tailgates surrounding the Bell Tower.
