Five Tar Heels Named To Women’s Basketball All-ACC Academic Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Thriving at a high level on and off the court, North Carolina women's basketball earned five spots on the All-ACC Academic Team, the league announced on Tuesday.
Laila Hull, Reniya Kelly, Taissa Queiroz, Blanca Thomas and Ciera Toomey all earned recognition from the conference for their dedication to excellence in the classroom.
Criteria for the All-ACC Academic Teams are comprised of undergraduate student-athletes who have been enrolled at the institution for at least one academic year, earned a cumulative GPA of 3.00 including a 3.00 GPA in the most recent two semesters and competed in at least 50% of the teams contests.
Kelly earns her third straight season on the All-ACC Academic Team, with Hull, Thomas and Toomey with their second selections each.
Tar Heels on the 2025-26 All-ACC Academic Team:
Laila Hull – Political Science and Public Policy
Reniya Kelly – Information Science
Taissa Queiroz – Exercise and Sport Science
Blanca Thomas – Media and Journalism – Advertising and Public Relations Track
Ciera Toomey – Exercise and Sport Science
