Veteran Guard Chloe Clardy To Join Carolina For 2026-27 Campaign

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Continuing to add depth for the upcoming season, North Carolina women's basketball has announced the addition of veteran guard Chloe Clardy. The 5-9 Clardy comes to Chapel Hill after spending three seasons at Stanford.
With the Cardinal, Clardy appeared in 98 games for Stanford with 29 total starts. This past season, Clardy played in 33 games with 11 starts, posting a career-best 12.0 points per game.
A tenacious defender, Clardy paced the Cardinals in steals and ranked fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 2.03 swipes per game. Â She also led Stanford in assists, averaging 2.3 per game. As a sophomore, Clardy dished out 12 assists against Syracuse and added 14 points for the lone double-double of her career.
Out of Conway, Arkansas, Clardy was a two-time Gatorade Arkansas Girls Basketball Player of the Year and wrapped her prep career with more than 2,500 points.
Clardy is set to don Carolina Blue with a Tar Heel team coming off of 14 ACC wins, for their most in a season since 2012-13. Appearing in back-to-back Sweet 16's, Carolina is one of 11 schools in the country to appear in three of the last five regionals.
