Softball Falls For The First Time In Series Finale, 10-2

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Carolina softball suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday afternoon. The Tar Heels still won the series after winning the first two games.
Boston College plated two runs in the third to take a 2-0 lead. Emily LeGette roped an RBI single to cut into the deficit but the Eagles would plate two runs in each of the next two innings to take a commanding 6-1 lead after five innings.
LeGette would hit her 10th home run of the season in the sixth to make it a 6-2 ball game.
That wouldn't be enough to over come the deficit as BC would take the game 10-2.
The UNC win-streak comes to an end after opening the season with 17 straight wins, setting a new program record for best start in program history.
UNC will be back in action on Wednesday as they host Stetson at 5 PM.
