Wegh Moves Into Tenth All-Time In Pentathlon

BLACKSBURG, VA/CHICAGO -In her Carolina pentathlon debut, Aria Wegh entered Carolina history, tying for 10th all-time. Wegh notched PRs in three of the five individual events and in her overall score of 3588. She is tied with teammate Evie Culbreath in the Carolina history book. Wegh finished in sixth, and Culbreath took seventh.
Max Stakun-Pickering is sitting in third place after the first day of the heptathlon. The first day's performance was highlighted by a PR in the 60m hurdles (7.00).
In Chicago, the women's 60m hurdler led the way as all three advanced to the semifinals tomorrow. Kalani Witherspoon notched a personal best time of 8.27. Aaliyah Berry (8.36) and Tori Goodson (8.42) finished in fourth and eighth, respectively.
Delea Martins (54.74) finished third in the women's 400m.
