Kennedy To Compete With U-18 WNT At Pinatar Cup 2026

ATLANTA, Ga. – The U.S. U-18 Women's National Team and head coach Toni Pressley announced the 20-player roster for the Pinatar Cup 2026 Thursday morning. The roster features Riley Kennedy from the University of North Carolina.
Kennedy and the national team will head to San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain Feb. 25-March 6 to play two matches at the Pinatar Arena. The U.S. will face Sweden and Hungary in the round-robin competition with the winner determined by total points.
The Carolina sophomore is an experienced member of the national team. Kennedy previously played in a pair of international friendlies against Spain and in the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup this past fall. Prior to her first season at UNC, Kennedy competed in the 2025 U17 Concacaf USYNT World Cup Qualifier - Trinidad and Tobago.
As a Tar Heel, Kennedy appeared in 14 matches with nine starts while contributing to four shutouts and eight wins. The Raleigh, N.C. native ranked no. 88 in the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Top 100 Freshman list.
