October 7, 2026 | Baseball, Men's Lacrosse, Softball, Women's Lacrosse, Student-Athlete Development
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The North Carolina men's and women's lacrosse, baseball and softball teams will host the sixth annual Heel-O-Ween LaxBall event, to benefit UNC Children's Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Karen Shelton Stadium. The fun begins at 7 p.m. and a donation to UNC Children's Hospital is recommended for all fans.
Â
Costumes are encouraged and trick-or-treat stations will be set up in the stadium. Men's lacrosse and softball will make up one team, with women's lacrosse and baseball on the other. The teams will face off for a five-inning game of "LaxBall", a baseball/softball hybrid played with a tennis ball.
Â
Each year, the goal is to raise awareness and donate funds to the UNC Children's Hospital. Every donation goes directly to UNC Children's Hospital, helping provide care, comfort and hope to children and families across the state of North Carolina. In the previous five years of the event, the programs have raised over $10,000 to benefit UNC Children's.
