WBB To Hit The National Airwaves For 24 Games
October 6, 2026 | Women's Basketball
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Less than a month from tip-off, North Carolina women's basketball is must-see television, with the Tar Heels set to appear on national airwaves in 24 games throughout the 2026-27 season.
Coming off back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances, head coach Courtney Banghart and co. are set for year eight in Carolina Blue and prepped to make noise as the Tar Heels were ranked No. 9 in ESPN's Way Too Early Rankings.
Four experienced players headed to the portal and are ready to suit up for the Tar Heels: Achol Akot from Oklahoma State, Sophie Burrows from Syracuse, Chloe Clardy from Stanford, and Gabby White from Virginia.
Eight returners are primed to mentor incoming freshmen in top recruits, including Noelle Bofia and Kate Harpring as Carolina faces a stacked non-conference slate with five NCAA Tournament teams ahead of an 18-game ACC schedule.
The Tar Heels experience their first taste of competition on Sunday, Oct. 18, hosting Davidson in an exhibition game from Carmichael Arena at 1 p.m. ET. Admission against the Wildcats is free and open to all.
Carolina hops the pond to begin the regular season in Paris, France, at the 2026 Oui Play on Nov. 2. The Tar Heels test Oklahoma on Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. ET from Adidas Arena, with the game airing on ESPN2.
Season tickets for the 2026-27 season remain on sale. For more information regarding tickets, visit goheels.com/tickets or reach out to the UNC Athletic Ticket Office at 919-926-2296 or tickets@unc.edu.
