• Veesaar has also scored in double figures in all 19 games.
• Dixon made three 3FGs, his fourth game with three or more. Dixon scored 11 points, his third game in double figures.
• Kyan Evans made three 3FGs, the fourth time this season and 17th time in his career he made three or more in a game.
• Carolina never trailed and led for 38:52. It was the fifth game (second in ACC play) this season the Tar Heels led wire to wire.
• Junior guard Jaydon Young made his first start for the Tar Heels (he made 10 starts at Virginia Tech last season).
• It was the third different starting lineup in the last three games for the Tar Heels (and fifth this season).
• Notre Dame shot 35.3% in the first half, lowest in a half by an opponent since Florida State shot 31.6% in the second half on December 30.
• The Irish scored 33 first-half points, fewest allowed by the Tar Heels in the opening half since ECU scored 26 on December 22.
• The Tar Heels have won six in a row over the Irish and are 33-9 all-time vs. Notre Dame.
• UNC is 11-1 against Notre Dame in Chapel Hill (10-1 in the Smith Center).
