Ullmark Signs With Houston Dash
January 13, 2026 | Women's Soccer
Houston, Texas – The Houston Dash, member of the National Women's Soccer League, announced the addition of Linda Ullmark to the roster Tuesday afternoon. Ullmark is the first Tar Heel to sign with a professional team for this upcoming 2026 season.
Despite only playing at Carolina for two seasons, Ullmark left her mark on the program and collegiate soccer.
The Buffalo, N.Y., native made an instant impact on the pitch her freshman season. Ullmark was named to the 2024 TopDrawerSoccer Freshman Best XI First Team, NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team, and ACC All-Freshman Team. Throughout her freshman season, Ullmark was named TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week (Oct. 1), TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week (Oct. 1, Nov. 19), and ACC Offensive Player of the Week (Oct. 1). Most notably, the midfielder helped UNC win the 2024 national championship.
After helping UNC win its 23rd national championship in 2024, Ullmark had a standout sophomore season in Carolina blue. The midfielder led the team with eight assists and recorded seven goals and 22 points. Ullmark took 58 shots with 29 on goal for a .500 shots on goal percentage. After her performance this season, Ullmark was named Fourth Team All-America, Second Team All-Atlantic Region, Third Team All-ACC and CSC Academic All-District. This marked the first All-America honors of the midfielder's career.
Ullmark will join fellow Carolina alum Avery Patterson on the Houston Dash squad. The Dash finished the 2025 regular season with a 8-12-6 record going 5-4-4 in the second half.
