• It was Carolina's 500th win in the Smith Center. UNC is 500-90 in 41 seasons in the Smith Center, including 27-5 against Wake Forest and 259-71 against ACC opponents.
• The Tar Heels are 11-0 at home this season.
• Carolina becomes the ninth current ACC team to win 500 or more games in its current home venue. Among those nine teams, UNC has the second-highest winning percentage in its home arena (.847).
• Carolina is 14-2, its best 16-game record since 2015-16 (also 14-2).
• Carolina shot 52.7% from the floor. The Tar Heels are 8-0 this season and 43-1 under head coach Hubert Davis when they shoot 50% from the floor.

• Caleb Wilson had 22 points and 12 rebounds. It was his eighth 20/10 game and his 11th double-double.
• Wilson tied Armando Bacot (11) for the second-most double-doubles by a UNC freshman (Antawn Jamison had 13).
• It was Wilson's 11th 20-point game, the third-most by a Tar Heel freshman (Tyler Hansbrough 14, Rashad McCants 12).
• It was the third time this season Veesaar and Wilson both scored 20 points (also Kansas and ETSU).
• Veesaar and Wilson have both scored in double figures in all 16 games.
• Veesaar (9 for 10) and Wilson (8 for 9) shot a combined 89.4% from the floor, the highest combined percentage by the pair this season.
• Wilson had five offensive rebounds, his sixth game this season with five or more.
• Jayden Young scored a season-high 12 points in a season-high 19 minutes. He scored eight first-half points, three more than his previous high for a game this season (five in the season opener vs. Central Arkansas).
• It was Young's 12th career double-figure scoring game and first as a Tar Heel. It was his top scoring game since he had 12 vs. Cal in the 2025 ACC Tournament in his final game while playing for Virginia Tech.
• Young made 1 of 2 free throws with 57 seconds to play to give Carolina an 81-78 lead. It was only the second time this season Young went to the free throw line (1 for 2 against ECU on December 22).
• Jonathan Powell hit two three-pointers, the seventh time this season he made multiple three-pointers.
• Carolina shot 59.4% from the floor in the first half, its highest in a half since shooting 63.6% in the first half vs. ETSU on December 16.
• Carolina had 20 assists, the fifth time in the last seven games the Tar Heels had 20 or more assists.
• Wake Forest's Juke Harris and Nate Calmese both scored 28 points. Calmese was 7 for 11 from three, while Harris was 5 for 12.
• It was the first time two opponents made five threes since Sam Waardenburg and Isaiah Wong made five apiece at Miami on 1/18/2022.
• Harris (10 for 18) and Calmese (10 for 16) became the first pair to make 10 field goals in a game vs. UNC since 2/20/2019, when Duke's R.J. Barrett made 11 and Cam Reddish made 10.
• The 28 points were the most by opponents this season. SMU's Boopie Miller scored 27 in the previous game.
• It was the first time two opponents scored 25 or more points since 1/29/2022, when NC State's Terquavion Smith scored 34 and Jericole Hellems scored 25.
• Wake Forest made 14 of 35 three-pointers. It was the most three-pointers by an opponent in a Carolina victory since the Tar Heels beat Boston College in overtime last season when the Eagles also made 14 threes.
