Three Tar Heel Men Advance In ITA All-American Singles

Chris Xu, Anthony Wright and Niels Ratiu won their initial singles matches and advanced in the pre-qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships on Saturday. Ratiu and Xu also played their first official doubles match of the season together and advanced in the doubles pre-qualifying bracket.
Meanwhile, on the second day of the Carolina Classic in Columbia, S.C., freshman Ian Mayew won his singles match and the Tar Heels won a pair of doubles matches. Mayew advanced to Sunday's singles final, where he will face Max Stenzer of host South Carolina.
