Tar Heels Scrimmage On Tuesday

Chapel Hill, NC--Â The North Carolina Tar Heels held a six 1/2 inning scrimmage on Tuesday afternoon at an overcast Boshamer Stadium.
Offensive Highlights:Â For the second day in a row, Cooper Nicholson hit a home run off the batter's eye, this one a 429-foot shot. Nicholson was 2-4 with four RBI and one run scored. Gavin Gallaher was 3-3 with a double. Owen Hull, who also doubled, was 3-5 with one RBI and one run scored.
AJ Terry, who had a double, went 2-4 with two RBI and one run scored. Jake Schaffner was 2-4 with a double, while Tyler Howe was the only other player with multiple base hits by going 2-3.
Pitching Highlights:Â Jason DeCaro, Walker McDuffie, Jackson Rose, Talan Holiday, Justin Mabe and Ryan Leatherman all saw action on the mound. DeCaro gave up no runs, with Leatherman adding a scoreless inning.
The Tar Heels will next scrimmage on Thursday.
