Four Tar Heels Tabbed All-ACC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2025 All-ACC Women's Soccer awards Wednesday afternoon. University of North Carolina women's soccer has four players featured on this year's teams. Olivia Thomas was tabbed first team while Kate Faasse and Linda Ullmark were named third team All-ACC. Hope Munson represents the Tar Heels on the All-Freshman Team.
Thomas has continued to have a standout season on the pitch this fall. The junior has recorded a team-leading 13 goals, second best in the league, on 78 shots with 30 on goal. Thomas has also recorded four game-winning goals. The forward has scored in ten of the Tar Heels' 18 games including three braces this season. In their Midseason Top 100 Player Rankings, TopDrawerSoccer ranked Thomas at no. 5 among the nation's best. Thomas was also named to the United Soccer Coaches Hermann Trophy Midseason Watchlist. The junior striker was also tabbed ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week Oct. 7 and Preseason All-ACC.
Faasse is second on the team with nine goals and 24 points so far this season. The senior has also tallied three braces. The reigning Hermann Trophy Winner was named Preseason All-ACC and tabbed to both Preseason and Midseason Hermann Trophy Watchlists. Faasse came in at no. 45 on the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Top 100 List. The forward leads the team with 1,610 minutes logged.
At midfield, Ullmark has continued to contribute defensively while facilitating the Tar Heel offense. The sophomore leads the team with seven assists while recording six goals. Ullmark recorded a career-high and team-leading three assists in a single match in Carolina's win against Alabama. This match marked the first time since 2022 that a Tar Heel tallied three assists in a game. In the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Top 100 Rankings, Ullmark came in at no. 33. The midfielder was also tabbed to the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week Sept. 9 and Preseason All-ACC.
Munson has been an anchor for the Tar Heel defense this season. The freshman has helped lead Carolina to seven shutouts. Munson is one of just 11 freshmen named All-ACC across the conference. The defender was also ranked no. 5 in the TopDrawerSoccer Midseason Top 100 Freshman List. Munson has also tallied three assists and logged 1,411 minutes on the field.
