March 17, 2024 | Men's Tennis
CORAL GABLES, FLA.— Miami won the doubles point and three of five singles matches, edging No. 27 North Carolina, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Hurricanes, ranked No. 59 by the ITA this week, improved to 10-6 this season and 2-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Tar Heels, who had won seven of their last eight matches including a win at No. 13 Florida State on Friday evening, fell to 10-5, 4-2.
UNC got singles wins from Patrick Schoen and Anuj Watane and were awarded a team point because Miami only had five players available to play.
The all-time series between Carolina and Miami is now tied, 22-all.
