Senior Night In CarmichaelÂ
• Prior to Friday's dual, the program will honor Connor Alexander, Blah Dahnweih, Tyler Eischens, Wil Guida, Adam Honis, Marisol Nugent, Chris Salazar and Max Shaw, as well as graduate assistant athletic trainer Matt Johnson during the pre-match Senior Night recognition.Â
Last Time Out
• Bonus point victories from Spencer Moore and Sabino Portella paced the North Carolina wrestling team (10-7, 2-2 ACC) over Virginia, 18-16, last Friday night in Atlantic Coast Conference action.
• Moore (125) collected his fourth technical fall of the campaign, while Portella (184) earned his first collegiate major decision.
• Jayden Scott (149) earned a sudden victory decision, with Sonny Santiago (157) and Max Shaw (197) rounding out the Tar Heel wins on the night.
• With the win, Carolina has now won seven-straight duals against Virginia, including four consecutive in Charlottesville.
Series History
• Entering Friday, Carolina leads the all-time series over Duke, 73-25, with the first meeting occuring in 1927.Â
• Carolina has won seven-straight dual matchups over the Blue Devils.Â
