
Swimming Continues To Shine On Day Two In South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Carolina swimming continued its hot streak as it qualified another relay team for the NCAA Championships, set a school record in the men's 200-yard medley relay and notched nine new all-time marks.
Men's Results
Once again, Carolina opened up the finals with a fantastic showing in the relays. Walker Davis, Ben Delmar, Boyd Poelke, and Patrick Hussey set the school and pool record in the 200-yard medley relay (1:23.68).
Louis Dramm (3:42.43) posted the fifth best all-time mark in program history in the 400 IM.
Carolina swept the podium in the 100 fly. PJ Foy (45.25) posted the second fastest time ever. Poelke (45.40) notched the third fastest time, and Seb Lunak (45.66) is now in fourth place all-time.
Carolina took the top two spots in the 200-free, as Hussey (1:33.00) claimed first place, and David Quaresma (1:35.20) finished second, which moved him into seventh all-time.
Two more Tar Heels swimmers landed on the podium in the 100 breaststroke. Ben Delmar (52.44) claimed first place, while Xavier Ruiz (52.93) finished third.
Women's Results
Greer Pattison, Georgia Nel, Elizabeth Sowards, and Skyler Smith punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships with an automatic qualifier time of 1:35.50, their 200-yard medley relay, and a pool record.
Sophia Frei, Samantha Armand, Lily Sawyer, and Eden Goettsch also finished third in the 200-yard medley.
The 400 IM was a sweep for Carolina. Mary Macaulay (4:11.17) moved into sixth all-time. Aislin Farris (4:11.32) tied for seventh all-time, and Ava Muzzy (4:12.21) is now sitting at ninth all-time.
Smith (58. 26) improved on her 100 breast school record—Armand (1:01.31) finished in third.
