Women's Golf Finishes Third In Landfall Tradition

Helen Yeung birdied the final hole to lift the North Carolina women's golf team to a third-place finish in the Landfall Tradition Sunday at the Country Club of Landfall.
Carolina shot 280-287-298 for a three-day total of 1-over 865.
Florida State won the team title at 2-over 862, one stroke ahead of Duke, which led the Seminoles by five strokes heading into today's final round.
Ole Miss was fourth at 2 over, a shot higher than the Tar Heels, and UCF was fifth at 4 over.
Wet and windy conditions led to higher scores across the board today with the average scores for the field nearly three shots higher per player than Saturday.
Carolina's Megan Streicher (68-72-73) placed fourth at 3-under 213, her fourth top-five finish in as many starts this fall.
Yeung (67-71-76) tied for fifth at 2-under 214, Reagan Southerland (72-75-74) and Inez Ng (75-71-75) tied for 33rd at 5-over 221 and Ing Iadpluem (73-73-77) tied for 42nd at 7-over 223.
Katie Vu (73-72-78), playing as an individual entry, also was 42nd.
