CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Senior Parker Wolfe earned his second award of the week when the Atlantic Coast Conference named him Men's ACC Performer-Of-The-Week on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Today marks the senior's second time winning the weekly cross-country conference award; the first time occurred last year following his second-place finish at the Virginia Invitational.
Last Friday, Wolfe set a new course record of 23:04.0 at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational Presented by Under Armour in his season debut.
Wolfe's win propelled the men's team to its best finish ever at Nuttycombe –fourth. The men leaped into the top five, a major improvement from last year's tenth-place finish at Nuttycombe.
Parker is the third Carolina runner to earn conference honors this season. Brynn Brown and Jacobey Laney won Performer and Freshman on Sept. 17.
