Trio Set For NCAA Men's Swimming And Diving Championships

MINNEAPOLIS – Three members of the University of North Carolina men's swimming & diving program are ready to compete at the 2023 NCAA Championships, which begin Wednesday, March 22, in Minneapolis.
Fifth-year senior diver Anton Down-Jenkins will participate in both springboard events beginning Thursday with the 1-meter competition followed by the 3-meter competition on Friday. A year ago, he placed sixth in the 3-meter and eighth in the 1-meter springboard event at the national championship meet.
Junior Boyd Poelke wil compete at the NCAA Championship meet for the third straight season and participate in both butterfly races. Last season he competed in the preliminary rounds of the 100 and 200-yard butterfly but did not advance to the finals. The 100 fly is scheduled for Friday and the 200 fly on Saturday.
Freshman Louis Dramm will compete in the 400 IM on Friday.
Patrick Hussey, Noah Rutberg, and Tomas Sungaila will team with Dramm in the 200, 400, and 800 freestyle relay events.
ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the men's championships will be on ESPNU at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 4.
