PITTSBURGH, PA. - No. 16 Pittsburgh (9-2, 3-0 ACC) jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and never looked back, defeating No. 25 North Carolina (6-7, 2-1 ACC) 21-11 Friday night in ACC action. With the win, the Panthers move into sole position of first place in the ACC regular season standings with two weeks remaining.

In the matchup with the Panthers, the Tar Heels collected decisions from Jack Wagner (125) and Gavin Kane (184), as Austin O'Connor (157) was victorious via technical fall.

The Tar Heels return to Carmichael Arena next Friday, welcoming Virginia Tech to Chapel Hill.
