Softball Hosts No. 19 Michigan On Tuesday

CHAPEL HILL – The Carolina softball team returns home on Tuesday at 5 p.m., hosting No. 19 Michigan at Anderson Softball Stadium. The matchup is the first of six straight home games for the Tar Heels after playing 14 of its first 15 games on the road. Admission is free.
For those unable to those unable to attend in person, the matchup will also air live on the ACC Network.
Carolina is coming off a 3-2 week, earning victories over North Carolina A&T and Bryant twice, while falling to No. 15 Georgia in Athens twice.
In that five-game stretch, junior Bri Stubbs batted a team-best .385, recording five hits, plating three runs and drawing five walks.
Graduate Sara Jubas batted .286 and led the team with five RBIs, while Kianna Jones slugged a team-high .467.
In the circle, Carlie Myrtle earned her first career victory over Bryant, pitching a complete game shutout over the Bulldogs while striking out 12. Freshman Lilli Backes made three appearances in the circle with a team-best 13 strikeouts, earning a win over the Aggies.
