ORLANDO—William Blumberg's run in the NCAA Singles Championship came to an end on Wednesday afternoon when the fifth-year senior fell in the quarterfinal round to Baylor's Adrian Boitan, 6-4, 6-1.
Blumberg reached at least the NCAA quarterfinals four years in a row and became the first 10-time All-America in Intercollegiate Tennis Association history this season, earning the distinction in both singles and doubles in all five of his collegiate seasons.

On Wednesday night, ninth-ranked Constantin Frantzen and Sven Lah, also of Baylor, beat Blumberg and Brian Cernoch in a tiebreaker in the doubles quarterfinals, 6-4, 0-6, 1-0 (7).
By being the No. 2 national seed and reaching the quarterfinals, Blumberg and Cernoch earned All-America status as a doubles combo for the second year in a row. The duo finished 16-4 as a pair this season.
