Three Tar Heels Finish in the Top 32
The University of North Carolina finished in ninth place at the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Golf Championships Friday at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro.
The Tar Heels shot 316 in the third and final round of stroke play on Friday to finish at 47-over 911. Carolina finished ahead of NC State, Notre Dame and Boston College in the 54-hole event.
Duke (-11), Wake Forest (-8), Florida State (+12) and Virginia (+12) claimed the top four spots to advance to Saturday's match play semifinals. Virginia Tech was fifth at 14 over par.
Duke's Gina Kim won the individual title at 10-under 206 (68-69-69).
Carolina's Kayla Smith (73-76-76) and Jennifer Zhou (73-73-79) tied for 28th place at 225 and Nicole Adam (73-76-77) tied for 32nd place.
