UNC Picks Up ACC Victory At Clemson

North Carolina bounced back quickly from a men's tennis road loss on Friday to beat host Clemson 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility. The Tar Heels took the doubles point then got straight-sets singles over the Tigers from junior William Blumberg, sophomore Benjamin Sigouin and senior Blaine Boyden to earn the win.

The Tar Heels improved to 10-3 on the season, 3-1 in ACC play.

Next up for UNC is a home match on Friday at 2 p.m. The Tar Heels step out of conference play to host No. 21 Oklahoma at Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center

In doubles on Sunday, Sigouin and freshman Brian Cernoch picked up the first win, 6-1 on Court 2. Clemson then won on Court 3, and the point came down to Court 1. There, Blumberg and Boyden teamed to win 6-2 and give the Tar Heels the lead.

In singles, Blumberg picked up a quick win on Court 1, beating Simon Baudry 6-0, 6-3. Sigouin beat Yizhou Liu on Court 2, 6-1, 6-2, to put UNC within a point of the team win.

Boyden clinched the victory on Court 5, beating Pierre-Louis Dodens 6-4, 6-2.
