
Tar Heel Men Compete At NYU, Penn

The North Carolina men's fencing team competed at both the Philadelphia Invitational and the NYU Invitational on Sunday, splitting up the squad to hit both events and gain valuable competition experience.
In New York, against a field that included four of the nation's top 10 teams, the Tar Heels were 3-3, with wins over host NYU, Wayne State and Columbia. Carolina fell to No. 4 Notre Dame, No. 5 Ohio State and No. 10 Yale.
In Philadelphia, in an event hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, a young Tar Heel squad dropped all six of its meets.
Next up for Carolina is the Penn State Dual Meets on Saturday in State College, Pa.
