The 50-point margin of victory was the largest since Carolina beat UNC Asheville, 116-48 (by 68) on Nov. 30, 2008.
Carolina had 72 rebounds, tying the second-most in school history and the most since 1954.

The 41 defensive rebounds equal the sixth-most by UNC since 1986-87. Carolina also had 41 defensive rebounds earlier this year against Evansville.
Reggie Bullock posted his first collegiate double-double with 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds (previous career high was six,which he set in UNC's previous game vs. Appalachian State.
Bullock has scored in double figures in four consecutive games, his longest stretch as a Tar Heel. He has scored 50 points (12.5) and has 23 boards (5.8) in the last four games.
Carolina had four players score in double figures, but only one of them was a starter (Dexter Strickland with 14, who tied with James Michael McAdoo for team scoring honors). P.J. Hairston (13) and Bullock (10) also scored in double figures.
Harrison Barnes (9), John Henson (7) and Tyler Zeller (7) did not score in double figures. Thjs was the first time this year and only the second time in the last two years that all three of UNC's frontcourt starters scored less than 10 points. It also happened vs. Rutgers last year (Barnes 9, Zeller 8 and Henson 7).
Tyler Zeller (11), John Henson (11) and Reggie Bullock (10) became the first trio to grab double-figure rebounds in a game since Deon Thompson (13), Henson (12) and Marcus Ginyard (10) did it against Rhode Island in the NIT semifinal on March 30, 2010, in the Garden.
Kendall Marshall had seven assists and only one turnover. His assist-error this season is now 122 to 30, a ratio of 4.1 to 1.
James Michael McAdoo scored a season-high 14 points and Stewart Cooper scored his first points as a Tar Heel.
John Henson blocked seven shots, the fifth time in his career and second time this year he has swatted at least seven in a game. He has 41 in 12 games this year (3.4 per) and 219 in 86 games in his career (2.5 per).
