Six Earn All-ACC Academic Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2010 All-ACC Academic honorees for indoor track and field on Wednesday afternoon, placing six Tar Heels on the list including Edward Baldwin III, Adam Cunningham, Christine Johnson, Parker Smith, Mateo Sossah and Evan Watchempino.
This marks the second All-ACC Academic award for Cunningham. The junior from Encino, Calif., is majoring in economics and was also named to the 2010 All-ACC team. Joining Cunningham on the All-ACC team is senior Sossah. He is majoring in business administration.
Baldwin is a senior who will earn his degree in radiology. Junior Smith is studying exercise and sport science. Watchempino, who was also named to the 2009 cross country All-ACC Academic list with Cunningham, is majoring in communications.
Johnson represents the women's team on the All-ACC Academic selections. She is a junior majoring in business administration.
