
Kearney and Fogleman Fall in Semifinals of ITA Indoors

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The North Carolina doubles team of Chris Kearney and Taylor Fogleman put up a strong fight against the nation's No. 1-ranked doubles team Saturday afternoon but fell in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Indoor National Championships at the Racquet Club of Columbus, Ohio.
Kearney and Fogleman lost a tight two-set match, 6-4, 6-4 to Somdev Devvarman and Treat Huey of Virginia. The Virginia team is the No. 1-ranked doubles team in the nation.
The action was the final of the fall for Carolina. The Tar Heels will begin their spring season in January.
