Softball 4-0 in Buzz Classic Softball Tournament

The North Carolina softball team finished pool play at the Buzz Classic 4-0 and will begin single-elimination bracket play Sunday at 10 a.m. Hosted by Georgia Tech, the three-day tournament is being played at Al Bishop Softball Complex in Marietta, Ga. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
The Tar Heels beat Butler 5-1 and Middle Tennessee State 10-0 on Friday and continued their winning on Saturday with victories over Florida A&M (8-7) and Northeast Louisiana (4-1). UNC is now 25-14 overall and has won 15 of its last 17 games, seven in a row.
Sophomore pitcher Radara McHugh has earned all four wins for Carolina and has gotten plenty of help from the UNC bats. Junior centerfielder Crystal Henderson has nine RBI thus far in the tournament and hit a home run in each of Saturday's games. On Friday, she doubled against Butler and tripled against Middle Tennessee. Sophomore Michelle Semmes and freshman Natalie Anter hit home runs on Friday, against Butler and MTSU, respectively.
