MONTGOMERY, Ala. - North Carolina's 58th-ranked men's tennis team fell to 26th-ranked Notre Dame 4-0 in the first round of the Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala. Thursday evening. The Fighting Irish improved to 11-4 on the season with the victory while the Tar Heels lost their fourth match in a row and now stand 6-7 on the season.
Notre Dame advanced to play 19th-ranked Texas A&M in the tournament quarterfinals on Friday. UNC will play Middle Tennessee State Friday in a tournament consolation quarterfinal match.
