Men's Tennis Falls to No. 47 Auburn, 4-1

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The 58th-ranked North Carolina men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to 47th-ranked Auburn Saturday afternoon in a consolation bracket match at the Blue-Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala.
UNC's only point came at #4 singles where junior Aron Breziner defeated Auburns Marcel Mizerski, 6-1, 6-3. Auburn evened its record at 6-6 with the win over the Tar Heels.
The Tar Heels finished 1-2 in the Blue-Gray tournament and fell to 7-8 overall on the season. Carolina has now lost four of five of its last six dual matches after starting the season with a 6-3 mark. Coach Sam Paul's team will try to get back into the winning column this coming Thursday when it plays host to Maryland at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center at 3:00 p.m. That is the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for UNC.
