Sabrina Hartwell

Sabrina Hartwell joined Carolina as an Olympic sports dietitian in July 2025. She is the primary dietitian for track and field and cross country, swimming and Diving, volleyball, softball and fencing.
Before coming to UNC, Hartwell was the performance nutrition fellow at the University of Michigan, where she worked with softball, cross country, water polo and tennis. She also supported the Michigan football team as a performance nutrition intern during the 2022 season and their 2023 national championship season.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Hartwell played Division I water polo at Hartwick College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and business. She later completed her master’s in nutritional sciences and dietetics at the University of Michigan and became a registered dietitian in 2024. She is also licensed through the North Carolina Board of Dietetics/Nutrition.
In her free time, Hartwell enjoys Pilates, running and trying out new recipes.
