Matt Verderosa joined the Carolina football program in July of 2022 as the Director of Video Services. He serves as the primary technology contact for the Tar Heels and the Kenan Football Center. He oversees the capture of games, practices, and other football-related activities, while also managing and maintaining the football program’s technology infrastructure and computer network for the coaching and support staff.

Additionally, his staff organizes and maintains all in-house and cloud-based data and media over five different servers.

During his tenure in Chapel Hill, he spearheaded the overhaul of the Koman Practice Complex camera system, IGV implementation on game days for coaches and players, and many more technological innovations.

Verderosa came to Carolina after spending three seasons at Texas A&M as the Assistant Video Coordinator. While at A&M, he managed a 100+ client Catapult network, assisted the coaches with all game film and game preparation needs, and maintained all data associated with self and opponent scouting. Verderosa spent the 2017 and ’18 seasons at North Texas, working as the Assistant Video Coordinator.

A native of Apex, N.C., Verderosa is a 2017 graduate of NC State. During college, he spent four seasons as a student video operations assistant with the football program. He also spent one season as a scouting intern with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes.

He resides in Durham with his wife Myah and their dog Tucker.
