Kelly Fleming began as a staff athletic trainer at UNC in the summer of 2018. Her primary clinical responsibilities are with rowing. She also previously worked at UNC for six years with cross country and track and field.

Fleming is a 2009 graduate from Gardner-Webb University, where she attained her B.S. in athletic training. After undergrad, she went on to the University of Alabama, where she obtained her M.S. in Sports Management in 2011. She served as the head athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s swim and diving team.

Fleming worked at the University of Florida as the head athletic trainer for the women’s gymnastics team before coming to UNC. Kelly’s interests include manual therapy, active release technique, graston technique and running mechanics.

She has been a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer since 2005 and is a Georgia native.

Fleming lives outside of Durham with her husband Andrew.
