Erin Thompson joined the UNC Athletics department in October 2024 as Assistant Director of Ticket Operations. In this role, she oversees ticket operations for women’s basketball and manages ticket office student workers.

Prior to her position at UNC, Thompson served as a box office associate for the North Carolina Symphony, where she facilitated ticket purchases and coordinated group sales initiatives, including season ticket renewals.

Before that, she began her career with the Durham Bulls, starting as an inside sales trainee and later being promoted to box office manager. In this role, she managed all aspects of the 2023 season and worked closely with accounting and upper management to reconcile nightly game attendance and revenue.

Thompson graduated from Winston-Salem State University in 2020 with a degree in sports management, concentrating in marketing and promotions.

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and trying new recipes.
