Clint Gwaltney, a 1992 UNC graduate and Carolina football letterwinner, serves as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Operations. A staff member since 1995, in his current role he oversees ticket operations, analytics and sale strategy, postseason event management, information technology and facility management for the Smith Center and the athletic department. He also is the administration's point person for UNC's dealer car program and Carolina's longtime contract with Nike and Gatorade.
Gwaltney played four years of football for the Tar Heels, earning second-team All-ACC honors as a kicker. A three-time Academic All-ACC selection, he graduated in 1992 with a degree in business administration. Gwaltney spent two years as a staff consultant for Andersen Consulting before earning his master's in sports administration from Ohio University in 1995. He joined the UNC staff as a ticket office intern and spent 17 years in that office before moving into his current role in 2012. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2002, Associate Athletic Director in 2004 and Senior Associate Athletic Director in 2012.
Born Jan. 4, 1970, in Nashville, Tenn., Gwaltney and his wife, Jen, have a daughter, Caroline, and a son, Cole. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, water sports and golf.
