Amanda joined the Tar Heels in October of 2022 as Director of Creative Videography. In her role she manages a talented creative team who oversees all creative social video content. Leading the charge to create strategic plans, best practices and innovation to 28 varsity teams.
Prior to her role at North Carolina, Shike was Assistant Athletic Director of Creative Services for Elon University Athletics. Overseeing all broadcast and creative projects for the athletic department. She elevated the Elon Sports Vision student broadcast program, to better teach and equip students as well as doubling participation in the program. During her year and a half at Elon she also quadrupled the student creative video staff and added a full time staff member to elevate and better serve video board and team social needs.
Before her time at Elon, Shike refined the Broadcast and Creative Services department for Colgate University Athletics as Associate Director of Creative Services for almost two years. She was in charge of all creative content including graphics, social video, video board and broadcasts for all 25 varsity teams.
Before Colgate, she spent two years in Purdue University's Athletic department. First serving as Video Producer for Volleyball, Softball and Track & Field. Traveling with the teams creating content both on the court/field and off. After 11 months, Shike was promoted to Assistant Director of Digital Media to help elevate the Boilermaker brand, and focus on creating long form video features.
Shike got her start in athletics at the University of Tennessee where she was a Production Assistant with VFL films. She was the primary videographer for Women's Golf and Women's Tennis while also assisting with numerous other sports and broadcasts.
Shike got her undergraduate degree at Johnson University in 2016.
