Nadine Faustin-Parker is in her fourth year as the Director of Track and Field Operations/Administration and second year as Assistant Coach in the men's and women's hurdles and multi-events (sprints, hurdles, jumps). She is USATF Level 1 Certified. In addition to her coaching duties, she is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the annual budget, preparation for recruiting weekends, planning student-athlete team travel, scheduling, Web site maintenance, organizing team community service events, and aiding in the day-to-day operations of the Track and Field and Cross Country programs.
In the 2010 season, Faustin-Parker assisted standout decathletes Mateo Sossah and Dan Keller to personal bests in the short sprints and hurdles of the multi-events. Sossah was the 2010 NCAA Indoor Runner-up in the men's heptathlon and a top-8 finisher at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the decathlon.
Faustin-Parker graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1999 as a student-athlete with All-America honors. She competed in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China in the 100-meter hurdles. Faustin-Parker is a three-time Olympian having also competed in the 2000 and 2004 Games. She was a semi-finalist in Athens 2004 with a personal best of 12.74 in the 100-meter hurdles. She is a national record holder in four different events. Faustin-Parker is one of 6 newly appointed representatives on the Athletes Commission for the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) for the period of 2010-2013. Faustin- Parker was inducted into the University of North Carolina Track and Field Hall of Honor on January 13, 2007. She and her husband, Anthony Parker, reside in the Raleigh area.
