Competed in nine meets • Secured 13 podium finishes • Made his collegiate debut against Auburn, finishing second in the 200 back, third in the 100 back and fourth in the 200 IM • Won the 200 back and placed fourth in the 200 fly versus South Carolina • Took second in the 200 back and 200 IM and third in the 100 back vs. Virginia • Claimed second in the 200 back and 200 IM at the Gamecock Invitational and set a personal best in the 100 back (46.67) as the lead-off leg of the 400 medley relay • Finished third in the 100 back and 100 fly against Duke • Took second in the 200 back and fourth in the 100 back at N.C. State • Won the 200 back at the UNC Invitational • Scored in the 200 back (19th) and 200 IM (19th) at the ACC Championships • Set a personal best and moved to No. 4 all-time at UNC in the 200 IM at the league meet • Missed out on the school record in the 200 back by .01 with a 1:40.84 at the Tennessee Last Chance meet • Was a member of the Tar Heel’s NCAA team as a relay alternate.
