General: Returning letter winner who adds depth to the middle distance freestyle events as well as the butterfly...a native of Raleigh, N.C....family has since moved to Evergreen, Colo....as a freshman, he had a 3.036 grade point average at UNC.
1998-99: Solid addition to the Tar Heel team in the middle distance freestyle events...recorded a career best time in the 200-yard freestyle in the dual meet win over Duke...named to 1999 Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Honor Roll.
Prep: A June 6, 1998 graduate of Ravenscroft School...a four-year letterman in swimming...specialized in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyles as well as the butterfly events...was All-State choice for North Carolina Independent Schools...was named MVP his junior and senior years for the Piedmont Athletic Conference...was the high school state champion in the 200 freestyle his junior and senior years and was the 500 free champion his freshman, junior and senior years...was high school team captain...earned high school All-America consideration in the 100 and 200 frees and the 100 butterfly...was co-captain the Tar Heel Aqua Racers club team.
