2018 (Junior): Started 48 games, playing in 50 • Hit .214, slugging .286 with a .296 on-base percentage • Scored 24 runs, driving in 14 with one home run and five doubles • Led team in hit-by-pitches with six • Caught 217 outs behind the plate, assisting 13 • Caught five runners stealing • Went 2-for-3 against Illinois (2/17) and No. 19 California (2/23) • Drove in two runs five times • Slugged her only home run of the year at Winthrop (3/28), plating three runs in the game • Hit at perfect 3-for-3 at Virginia (3/30) with two doubles and two RBI.

2017 (Sophomore): Appeared in 57 games as a sophomore, making 55 starts at catcher • Hit .288 with a .492 slugging percentage • Totaled 51 hits, 12 doubles, eight home runs, 11 walks, 14 runs scored and 49 RBIs • The only Tar Heel in two years to hit a grand slam, she hit two on back-to-back weekends against NC State and Virginia • Fifth in the ACC and eighth all time at UNC in RBIs • Eighth in the ACC in doubles • The batter you wanted up at the plate in big situations, she hit .435 (30-69) with runners in scoring position, including .818 (9-11) with the bases loaded and had 14 two-out RBIs • Ranked eighth in the ACC with a .996 fielding percentage, with just one error in 284 chances, while also ranking eighth in chances and 10th in putouts • Fifth in the ACC with eight runners caught stealing and fourth with two pickoffs • With eight runners thrown out in each of her first two seasons, she already ranks ninth all time in career runners caught (16) • Named ACC Player of the Week on Feb. 21 after slugging 1.385 with eight hits, four doubles, two home runs and 10 RBIs over five games against Elon, Purdue and Ohio State.

2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 47 games as a true freshman, starting 42 games at catcher (43 total starts) • Batted .176 with two doubles, a home run, four walks and 11 RBIs in 74 at-bats • Ranked fifth in the ACC with eight runners caught stealing • Opponents had a .789 stolen base percentage with her behind the plate • Went 4-for-9 on opening weekend at the Texas Classic, including 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI against Texas (2/13) • Picked off a runner at first against Northwestern (2/19) • Hit a pinch-hit, bases-loaded double to give UNC the lead in the sixth inning at Elon • Hit her first career home run at Pittsburgh (3/19), a two-run shot, as part of a nine-run sixth inning • Hit a two-run double in Pitt series finale (3/20).

Personal: Born Katie Mae Bailiff on Dec. 11 • Daughter of Barry and Angela Bailiff • Has an older brother, Ben, who played baseball at UNC Asheville from 2013-15 • Father, Barry, played baseball at Guilford College from 1976-80 • Participates in the Richard A. Baddour Leadership Academy as a member of the Rising Stars program • Majoring in Exercise and Sport Science.
