2006: As a junior, appeared in 45 games, starting 39 at catcher • Had a home run and three RBIs in the win at FIU on Feb. 10 • Broke out of an extended slump with a 2 for 4 day at Virginia on April 1 • Drove in five runs in the Virginia win with a double and her second home run of the year.
2005: As a sophomore, played in 64 games and started 61 at catcher and in the outfield • Hit her first two career home runs in back-to-back games, including a grand slam against Kentucky on Feb. 19 • Had five multi-hit games on the season • Committed just four errors on a team-high 330 chances for a .988 fielding percentage • Earned the Johnny Carroll Hustle Award at the team's year-end banquet.
2004: As a freshman, played in 13 games and started two at catcher • Batted .182 with two singles and scored three runs.
At Citrus High School in Inverness, Fla.: Earned second-team all-state honors as a senior • Three-year all-area selection and two-year all-conference pick • Two-time state champion in weightlifting • four-time all-conference pick in soccer • Earned team MVP honors in soccer, weightlifting and softball and captained all three teams her senior year • Selected as Miss Citrus High School • Two-time area Female Athlete of the Year by the St. Pete Times.
Personal: The daughter of Dr. John Gelin • Born March 31, 1985, in Inverness, Fla. • Is the seventh of nine siblings • An older sister, Courtenay, played soccer at Webber International University.
