As a Junior (2002) Appeared in 41 games for the Tar Heels, primarily as a pinch runner Scored six runs on the season Played in two games in the outfield, two as a pinch hitter and one as the designated player Helped solidify the outfield for Carolina.
As a Sophomore (2001) Appeared in 34 games, starting nine Made two starts in left field and seven in center Went 2-for-3 with an RBI in a start at UNC Wilmington on March 1 Doubled against Appalachian State on Feb. 11 Switched to jersey No. 12 after wearing 5 as a freshman.
As a Freshman (2000) Appeared in 51 games, mostly as a pinch runner Started five games, four in the outfield and one as the designated player Doubled against Florida A&M on Feb. 27.
At Providence Senior High Played four years of softball, two of basketball, track and tennis and participated in one year of diving Set a record at her high school for most letters won (11) As a senior, captained the basketball, tennis and softball teams Named Best Providence Athlete as a senior All-conference and all-county in softball Earned Most Improved Player and Outstanding Player awards in tennis Coach's Award recipient for basketball Placed third in the conference in high jump NCHSAA Scholar-Athlete Member of National Honor Society and made the honor roll each semester of high school A member of the National Classic Honor Society for Latin.
