2024 CROSS COUNTRY: Made his season debut at the Nuttycombe Invitational as he won the race, earning himself national athlete of the week and ACC performer of the week … Third-place finish at the ACC Championships while running his best 8k time of the season… Finished in sixth-place in the Southeast Region Championships… Earned All-America honors posting his best 10k time of the season during the 2024 NCAA Cross Country National Championships.
2024 OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD: Voted the ACC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Runner of the Year by the league’s head coaches … Selected the USTFCCCA Southeast Region Athlete of the Year … Wolfe became the Tar Heels first 5,000m National Champion at NCAA Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship ... Earned his eighth All-America finish of his career … First men's individual national title for a Tar Heel since 2007 ... First Tar Heel to be named a Bowerman Award Semifinalist ... Wolfe, who was the ACC runner-up at 3,000 meters to earn first-team All-ACC honors, capped the indoor season with a fifth-place finish in the 5,000 in 13:43.69 at the NCAA Indoor Championships, again capturing first-team All-America honors. Outdoor: In outdoor season, he finished second in the 5000m at the Wake Forest Invitational ... His time of 13:25.38 moved him to second place on UNC's all-time performers list in the event ... First-team All-America for a third time in the 2022-23 academic year, this time in the outdoor 5000m ... Finished fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 5K in 14:07.50 ... First-team All-ACC in the 1500m, finishing third at the ACC Outdoor meet in a personal-best time of 3:40.01 ...
