Prep: Graduated from the Ravenscroft School on June 6, 1998...competed on the varsity swim team there in the 100 breast, 200 IM and 100 fly...was also a member of the track team as a high jumper and a 4x100 relay runner...was named All-Conference and All-State in swimming four years...was seven-time state high school champion...Raleigh News & Observer Old Reliable Team choice in 1997-98...captain of high school swimming team junior and senior years...all-conference in track as a junior...a North Carolina Scholar.

Personal: Given name is Emily Atkinson Huber...nicknamed "Gremlin"...is the daughter of Jack and Polly Huber...has two sisters, including Jenny Huber John, who was a four-time All-America swimmer at UNC from 1990-93 and the team captain in 1992-93...her sister, Jenny Huber, is the athlete she most admires...biggest sports thrill was being a part of the UNC women's team last year...was born November 18, 1979 in Raleigh, N.C....hobbies include extreme skiing...majors in psychology...would like a career as a child psychologist.
